ABBA in partnership with Auctions plus have created a herd bull selling platform. An initiative designed to give all members an option for listing herd bulls. A set of criteria has been designed to help vendors describe, promote and sell their bulls to industry best standard.
In an environment where costs of producing sale bulls is becoming increasingly difficult this platform is seen as a great alternative. It will allow members to establish a value for their animals before they leave home.
This initiative is being seen as a great opportunity to group smaller vendors lots together to promote to a wider bull buying audience. It will also be a facility that can accommodate groups of larger numbers.
As this is only a bull selling platform, no clearances or averages will be announced. ABBA are providing a facility to help members list their bulls. Marketing responsibility will still be with the vendor and their agent.
As this is being promoted as a platform it will be up to vendors and agents to promote their own products. ABBA will advertise the platform only.

AuctionsPlus is dedicated to ensuring positive transactions for all users of our platform. Vendors will need to engage a Livestock Agent to market their livestock in the Auctions Plus Herd Bull selling platform.

Terms & Conditions
- Online Nominations from 1st June 2026 to 30th June 2026 via the ABBA Website
- Auctions Plus online listing will start on the 13th July 2026 with all lots catalogued by the 20th July 2026
- Auctions Plus Sale opens on the 27th July 2026, closing at 5.00 o’clock 3rd August 2026
- Nomination/Auctions Plus listing fee of $50 per bull
- Bulls aged between 18 and 36 months
- Bulls may be sold singularly or grouped in lots of 5 to 10 head
- Numbers will be monitored and ABBA reserves the right to apply restrictions on excessive numbers.
- All bulls are to be calf recorded or commercially registered with ABBA.
- All Bulls must be assessed by Auctions Plus Assessor or Delivery Agent
- Vendor to be responsible for organising Assessor \ Agent
- Assessment required- Structure, Motility and Temperament
- Assessment optional- Sheath, Data and Morphology
- Reserve will be minimum $4000
- All Media to be the responsibility of the Vendor\Agent. ABBA Media team are available to assist with photo cleanups and Vendor advertising. Contact ABBA to arrange.
- All calving interval measurements must be validated by ABRI pedigree information.
- Feeding regimen to be declared
- Hoof Trimming to be declared
- Delivery dates to be at discretion of vendor and agent.
- Vendors should consider nominating a delivery point so Bulls can be marshalled together eg. CQLX, Charters Towers or Gympie.

Structure
As Per Template – to be assessed by Auctions Plus Assessor/Delivery Agent
- Legs, Template 4,5 & 6 = 1 point
- Feet, Template 4,5 & 6 = 1 point
Sheath
- Template 3,4,5 = 2 points
- Template 2,6 = 1 point
Semen
- Motility +60% = 1 point
- Morphology pass = 1 point
Data Supplied
- Raw Data greater than 2 measurements = 2 points (e.g. Birth Weight, Weaner weight, Yearling weight, Dam Calving interval)
- Genomic EBV with greater than1trait measured = 1 point
Temperament
- Docile being 1 ranging to 5 as aggressive;
- scores of 1 or 2 = 1 point
- scores of 3, 4 or 5 will not be given a point
Maximum of 10 Points
