Register Of Renown Rules

  1. The Australian Brahman Breeders’ Association Ltd shall maintain a system of records known as the Brahman Register of Renown which shall be administered by a Register of Renown Committee appointed by the Council.
  2. An animal exhibited in shows approved by the A.B.B.A. shall not accumulate points for itself but for its sire and/or dam.
  3. In order to accumulate Register of Renown points for either the sire or dam, all winning animals must be registered in the Herd Book of the Australian Brahman Breeders’ Association Ltd prior to the time of showing. Points may also be gained when a sire or dam’s progeny are exhibited by one or more owners.
  4. To be enrolled in the Register of Renown a bull must accumulate a minimum of 200 points.
  5. To be enrolled in the Register of Renown a female must accumulate a minimum of 100 points.
  6. Points shall be awarded on the following basis:

    2. Champions

      The Senior, Reserve Senior, Junior and Reserve Junior Champion of each sex division shall receive at least as many points as any individual in the respective senior or junior segment of their sex division. The Grand and Reserve Grand Champion of each sex division shall receive at least as many points as any individual in their sex division. If necessary, points will be added to the points of a Champion won in its individual class to give it this sub-total.

      In addition, the Champion of each sex division shall receive points above and beyond those already described on the following basis.

      Reserve Senior and Reserve Junior Champion 1
      Senior and Junior Champion 2
      Grand Champion 1

  7. Fraudulent Claims
    The Council of the Australian Brahman Breeders’ Association Ltd shall have the power to permanently revoke the registration certificate of any animal that the owner thereof fraudulently advertises or claims to be entitled to be enrolled in the Australian Brahman Breeders’ Association Ltd Register of Renown prior to enrolment being officially awarded by the Association.
  8. It shall be the responsibility of the owner of the sire or dam to lodge application for Register of Renown points with the Association within 60 days of the show.
  9. Late lodgment of applications shall be accepted at the discretion of the Register of Renown Committee.
  10. Such application for Register of Renown points shall be on the form prescribed by the Association and each application for Register of Renown points shall be signed by the owner of the sire.
  11. Prescribed forms for application of Register of Renown points shall be supplied by the A.B.B.A. to the owner/s of sires upon nomination being made and upon payment of such fees as prescribed from time to time by the Association for the nomination of such sire or dam.

NOTE: A fee of $55.00 applies to the enrolment of a sire or dam and must be paid before points will be recorded.

The fee includes the supply of one book of the Register of Renown application forms.
Additional books will be supplied at $6.00 each.
